Just got back from walking the dogs around the neighborhood. Lots of houses for sale that have been on the market for a long time. The house next to me has been empty since May; it's a bank foreclosure. I've seen a couple of people look, but doesn't look like there's any interest.
A co-worker and I were looking at seed catalogs yesterday and talking gardens. She does a lot of container planting and uses vegetable vines in her arrangements. I might try that this year. The photo is a squash blossom growing out of my raised bed. I didn't have many vegetables last year because I seemed to get everything in late.

that's the problem with gardening, it takes time...i fantasize about growing things, but am just too lazy. love the farmer's market.
